First electric boiler at Danmark Protein cuts CO2 emissions We’re taking another important step towards reducing CO2 emissions with the installation of our first electric boiler at Danmark Protein. This will cut 3,500 tons of CO2 annually, nearly 5% of our 2030 target! By shifting from gas to electricity sourced from renewables, this initiative is part of our broader strategy to phase out natural gas and meet the growing demand for high-quality whey ingredients. And this is just the beginning – we see great potential for electric boiler technology across our production sites as we continue to work towards a carbon net zero future.
